Sounds of Hope Concert

I joined my School String Ensemble in July while they were preparing for the Sound of Hope concert. The Teacher-In-Charge gave me the score sheets to the pieces we will be playing and asked me to practise more at home. In all, I only had less than 10 sessions of practise in school.

I was really very excited and nervous when the day arrived. We put on our tailored made costume and make-up and did some practising while waiting for our turn to go up stage.

The first performance is by the P1.5, 2.2 and 3.1.

The P3.3 danced to the song "Jai Ho"

Nicole playing a beautiful piano piece: Bei Feng Chui from the Dance Opera of Bao Mao Nu

Mathea God (think she is P4) played Csardas By Monti.

The Chinese Dance group: Underwater World

The Ballet group danced the "Dance of the Little Swans"

The Handbell Choir performed "Passacaglia No. 1 in C" by Stephenson. They are really cool!

Before the intermission, the MG Dazzlers (cheerleaders) performed.

After the break, the Primary Choir sang "Give Us Hope" by Papoulis and "Swinging On A Star" by Van Heusen. The lyrics is so cool and they sang so well.

Shayndel played Song in the Night with the Harp

Modern Tap dancer tapped their feet to Old Manhattan

Denise and Megan (P6 & P4) dances to Rhythmic Gym Starz

AND Finally its our turn!! I was right at the center, fifth girl from the right (next the a little girl). The piece we played were Winter Evening by Vivaldi and 2 German Dances by Mozart. The weeks of practise lasted only minutes up there.

Modern Jazz dances to What Dreams are Made of, Blue Brothers.

Lastly, the performers that performed in the YOG opening ceremony!
