Today I went for the 51st National Inter-School Team Chess Championship.
I was in Team 2 under 9. There were a total 6 rounds but I only played 3 rounds because I was reserved. I won 1 round but lost 2 rounds.
The first round I played against St Hilda's Primary. I was very nervous but I won that round. Before the second round begin, mummy told me that I will be playing against
jie jie. I could have won
jie jie but my flag dropped (times up). Mummy said I had to be quicker if not my time would run out again. During my 3rd round, my opponent from
Kheng Cheng Primary won, this time, not because my time ran out, but because she is ready very good. She used her queen to eat all my pieces then to checkmate my king.
Our team scored a total of 10 points and was ranked number 14 out of 17 team. After that, we went to the hall for price giving before heading home. I had a very good experience today.
